Making Spirits Bright Celebration of Giving

1:00PM – 4:00PM

Under one roof, you will have the opportunity to learn about numerous amazing service organizations that strive to better our community every day. These organizations are ready to share information about their mission, the people they serve, projects and events as well as information about how you can help them reach their goals. Representatives will be on hand to talk about the many volunteer opportunities that exist so that each one of us can be a part of making a difference.

Just as Saint Marianne and the Sisters of St. Francis have worked to enhance the lives of individuals in their community, so do these participating organizations. They have placed themselves in the most needy neighborhoods and created resources and outlets of support for those who lack food, money, healthcare, homes, peace and resources.

Participating organizations include: Assumption Church Franciscan Ministries, Clear Path for Veterans, David’s Refuge, Purpose Farm and Sanctuary, Brady faith Center and Urban Farm, Cancer Connects, Onondaga Earth Corp, Fayetteville Sewing Initiative, Joseph’s House for Women, Lourdes Volunteers, Cuse Pit Crew, Samaritan Center, ARISE, Inc. and Francis House.

The Saint Marianne Cope Shrine & Museum is also collecting and giving items for some of the local service organizations for the month of December, leading to our Making Spirits Bright event on January 20, 2018. A wide variety of items are needed by these important organizations that serve our community, individuals, patients and animals. Donating small items can make a huge difference, especially when we work together.

Marianne answered "Yes" when asked to accept challenges to give to others. What can we say yes to?
