THE CATHOLIC GUIDE TO MINDFULNESS
Mindfulness is commonly presented as an eastern, atheistic, or non-religious substitute for prayer. This has caused some Christians to have reservations about its practice and use. Yet, mindfulness has its roots in universal human history and culture; it is intrinsically linked to Catholic traditions of prayer, spiritual warfare, and spiritual theology. Mindfulness practiced as awareness, acknowledgment, focus, and discipline can provide an essential foundation for spiritual growth and contemplative prayer. In this presentation, Paul will briefly present some examples of different mindfulness disciplines.
