STEPS TO DISCOVER YOUR VOCATION

LISTEN TO THE WHISPER IN PRAYER...  "Friends, again I ask you, what are you seeking?  What is God whispering to you?" - Pope Benedict XVI trusted that God was speaking to you in a whisper.  Listen daily.

...AS WELL AS IN THE SACRAMENTS.  The Pope continued..."It is from within the Church that you too will find the courage and support to walk the way of the Lord." Attend Mass and make use of Confession.

ORDER YOUR LIFE TOWARDS GOD.  Through prayer, seek a life centered on Christ, totally abandoned to Him.  "The kingdom of heaven is like a merchant searching for pearls.  When he finds a pearl of great price, he goes and sells all that he has and buys it." (Mt 13:45-46)

LIVE HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS.  To live a healthy and holy relationship, we need to live the virtue of chastity.  Chastity allow us to control our passions, to make choices that are truly free, and to seek what is good for ourselves and for others.

STUDY VOCATIONS.  Consider the gifts and talents God has given you.  How can you make a return?  Ask priests and religious sisters and brothers about their calling.  Ask happy couples what their secret is.  Learn more about vocations online.

"Christian revelation recognizes two specific ways of realizing the vocation of love in the human person: marriage and celibacy.  Either is, in its own proper form, an actuation of the most profound truth of man, of his being 'created in the image of God.""
