6:30PM – 8:30PM

If you are a caregiver - in health care, in ministry, at home - you know how difficult it can be to find time to step away from the needs of those you serve to take time for yourself.  Without regular and necessary breaks and boundaries, you will quickly experience “compassion fatigue,” that point where your ability to be compassionate and empathic can no longer continue to expand because you are too depleted to give one drop more. Join us for a two hour respite from the demands of your days. We’ll pray, talk, laugh, and discuss practical ways to create small breakes within the busyness of daily life.

Mary DeTurris Poust will facilitate this retreat.  She is a writer, retreat leader, and spiritual director. She is the author of six books on Catholic spirituality and six books of seasonal reflections. Mary writes about the spiritual journey in her award-winning monthly column, Life Lines, and hosts a podcast by the same name. She and her husband, Dennis, have three children and live in New York’s Capital Region. Visit her website at
