**Healing Service** for survivors of sexual abuse, loved ones and allies: Hope, Healing & Solidarity

Syracuse Bishop Douglas Lucia will be giving a closing message and blessing at this Healing Service: Hope, Healing & Solidarity -- open to ANY survivor of sexual abuse, loved ones and those who wish to stand in solidarity. The 1-hour ecumenical service, entitled “Invitation to God's Healing Grace,” will be followed by a reception with light refreshments. Michael Koplinka-Loehr  will be giving the ‘reflection’ from the perspective of a survivor, during the service. 

The event will offer a space for, and pray for, healing in the community and beyond. The service will include inspirational readings, music, a symbolic ritual with candle lighting and community building. The service is timed to coincide with April’s Sexual Abuse Awareness Month.

The event is open to the public, and the media are welcome to attend.
