Fall 2025 Workshop

In this workshop, we will come together to pray, learn and share from two local experts in the area of pastoral care to the dying. 

• Father Charles Vavonese has served the people of the Syracuse Diocese in many ways.  Over the last decade, Father Vavonse has created Project Compassion, a comprehensive training series teaching how to find peace, comfort and acceptance at the end of life. 

• Reverend Jana Biesanz is the Director of Mission and Outreach for Francis House, a home and extended family to persons with terminal illnesses so they can die with dignity, surrounded by the unconditional love of God.
